Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EventsAR uses device permissions, AR features, and downloaded content when you use the app on iPhone or other supported Apple devices.

Last updated: April 17, 2026

1. Overview

EventsAR is an augmented reality app for event experiences. Users can browse events, open AR experiences, and view 3D content in world AR, image tracking AR, and face AR modes. The app downloads event data, 3D models, images, and other AR content from the developer backend when needed for an experience.

2. Camera permission

EventsAR requires camera access to display and power live AR experiences. The rear camera is used for world AR and image tracking AR so the app can place 3D objects in the user's environment or recognize a tracked image or poster. Camera input is used only while the AR experience is running.

3. Face tracking and TrueDepth-supported features

On supported Apple devices, EventsAR may use the front camera and ARKit face tracking, including TrueDepth-supported face tracking, for face AR experiences. Face tracking data is processed only in real time on the device to position 3D content on the user's face during the active session.

4. What we do not collect or keep

EventsAR does not collect, store, or transmit face geometry, face mesh data, depth maps, biometric identifiers, or face templates. The app does not sell face data, does not share face data with third parties, and does not retain face tracking data after the AR session ends.

5. Photo library permission

EventsAR requests photo library access only when the user chooses to save a screenshot or captured image. Screenshots or images are saved to the user's photo library only after the user explicitly chooses to save them. Saved screenshots and camera images are not automatically uploaded to the developer's servers.

6. Content downloads and backend connection

The app connects to the developer backend only to download event data, 3D models, images, and AR content required for the experience. This content delivery is separate from camera use and face tracking. Camera input and face tracking are used locally on the device for rendering and interaction, while downloaded content is used to display the selected event experience.

7. Analytics, ads, accounts, and profiling

EventsAR does not use advertising, does not sell personal information, and does not use face data for tracking or profiling. If analytics, account creation, or user profiling are not enabled in your version of the app, the app does not collect personal data beyond what is technically necessary to deliver content requested by the user.

8. Storage, sharing, and retention

Face tracking data is processed on-device only and is not stored, shared, or retained after the session ends. Camera input is used only for the live AR view. Saved screenshots remain in the user's photo library under the user's control. Other than content delivery needed to load experiences, EventsAR does not collect personal data for its own storage or resale.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have privacy rights such as the right to request access to personal information, request deletion, or ask questions about how data is handled. Because EventsAR is designed to avoid collecting personal data beyond necessary content delivery, many requests may be limited to data held by backend infrastructure needed to serve app content.

10. Contact information

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your privacy rights, contact the EventsAR support team using the official support contact provided by the event organizer, app listing, or developer website.
